SCAN DOSE SUMMARY

Riboflavin is essential for FAD/FMN coenzymes. HIGH-DOSE riboflavin (400mg/day) reduced migraine frequency by 59% in a landmark RCT — one of the best-evidenced migraine preventives. Also: required for MTHFR enzyme function (riboflavin deficiency worsens homocysteine in MTHFR mutants), and essential for glutathione reductase (regenerating reduced glutathione). Bright yellow urine from riboflavin is harmless. RDA: 1.1-1.3mg/day. Therapeutic: 400mg/day for migraine. --- *Reviewed by the Dose AI Research Team and Clinical Advisory Board* *Last updated: 2026-04-06*
