Xanthohumol is a prenylated chalcone found exclusively in hops (Humulus lupulus). It's the most potent natural cancer chemopreventive agent identified per in vitro screening (Stevens 2004). Inhibits NF-κB, angiogenesis, and activates Nrf2 — triple mechanism. Also inhibits diacylglycerol acyltransferase (fat storage enzyme). Beer contains only 0.1-1mg xanthohumol per liter (insufficient for therapeutic effect — lost during brewing). Supplemental dose: 12-50mg/day. Xeravita® is a standardized extract.
