Luteolin is a flavonoid from celery, peppers, chamomile, and perilla that has gained attention for neuroinflammation. Dr. Theoharides (Tufts) proposed luteolin as a mast cell stabilizer for neuroinflammatory conditions including autism spectrum disorder. A 2018 study found luteolin supplementation improved social interaction and communication in ASD children. Also potent NF-κB and PDE4 inhibitor. Dose: 100-400mg/day.
