Glucoraphanin is the inactive precursor to sulforaphane found in broccoli/broccoli sprouts. Myrosinase enzyme (destroyed by cooking) converts glucoraphanin → sulforaphane. Avmacol® provides both glucoraphanin AND myrosinase in separate compartments. If eating cooked broccoli, add mustard seed (provides active myrosinase) to convert glucoraphanin to sulforaphane. --- *Reviewed by the Dose AI Research Team and Clinical Advisory Board* *Last updated: 2026-04-06*
