Citrus bioflavonoids (hesperidin, naringenin, tangeretin, nobiletin, eriocitrin) are polyphenols from citrus peel and pith. Often combined with vitamin C supplements (enhances C absorption and recycling). Nobiletin is the standout — a 2019 Nature Metabolism paper showed it activates circadian clock genes (ROR nuclear receptors) and combats metabolic syndrome. Hesperidin improves venous tone (see hesperidin.md). The bioflavonoid category is broad — effects depend on which specific compounds are present. --- *Reviewed by the Dose AI Research Team and Clinical Advisory Board* *Last updated: 2026-04-06*
