AVELOR SUMMARY
Alpha-lactalbumin is the highest-tryptophan protein known (6% tryptophan by weight vs 2% in casein). A 2005 study found alpha-lactalbumin (20g) increased brain tryptophan availability by 48% and improved mood and cognitive function under stress — by boosting serotonin synthesis. Also: richest natural source of cysteine (for glutathione synthesis) and rich in immunoglobulins. Used in infant formula (dominant whey protein in human breast milk). Bioactive Benefits® alpha-lactalbumin is a branded extract.
